A master of dots and joy in art, Yayoi Kusama created a pure white room before providing visiting children with dot stickers to cover the space with. The result is mesmerizing.

What is art?
This is one of the best videos I have seen in a while - hope you all enjoy it as much as I did! The series, Creature Comfort, uses real interviews and creates animations to match.
What is art to you?

Confused by the giant yellow bear currently on display outside the Seagram Building in Midtown East? You’re not alone - but here is some info to fill you in. The sculpture, Untitled (Lamp/Bear) by Urs Fischer, was placed on Park Avenue & 52nd St in a partnership with Christie’s. It was part of the Contemporary Art Sale on May 11th and sold for $6,802,500 - a new record for the artist (check out the link to see a video of the sale).

Standing at over 23 feet tall and weighing 35,000 pounds, the sculpture is scheduled to be on view until October. He may look cuddly, but Fischer has deceptively cast the sculpture in bronze to reflect the high value we place on our childhood toys. Walk by at night to see the lamp illuminated - the bear is cast in a glow that seems to put it in a world of its own.

Where will it go next? The buyer has not yet been revealed, I hope it receives a home as picturesque as its brother, shown above (the piece is an edition of 2).
